State of Smashville - Post Game 3
A term we hear all the time is “Nashville Predators Hockey,” referring to the systematic way the Predators play each game. My opinion may be a little biased, but attempting to judge as unbiased as possible, I believe “Nashville Predators Hockey” is some of the best hockey you can get. It’s smart, disciplined, and exciting.
When I read that Alexander Radulov and Andrei Kostitsyn were suspended for Game 3, I was shocked. After the initial shock quickly faded, I was satisfied. In Games 1 & 2 of the Western Conference Semi-finals, they were not playing Predator Hockey. Plus, the reason they were suspended did not demonstrate the team-first mentality that Predator Hockey entails. I highly commend Barry Trotz and David Poile for maintaining the credibility and standard that Predator Hockey is. On Tuesday, the off-ice issues were dealt with, but there was still a lot of work to be done, on ice.
National Hockey Center Renovation Begins
The long-awaited National Hockey and Event Center renovation project is officially underway on the campus of St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Fencing and preliminary preparations have been taken care of over the past week, while more rigorous work commenced on Monday, April 30 2012.
